We have removed the covers and washed them in a bowl with boiling water and soap. (You could leave the stick in, but it will take longer to dry.Normally we would suggest a cooler wash. If you are regularly washing resources, you may prefer the Ribbon Wavers that don't have a stick to remove and refit
