Directions to the Ipswich Venue

Train
Ipswich is the nearest station.
In a car
From the North, North West, or Midlands
Join the A14, either at the junction with the M6 (NW or midlands) or at junction with A1 (from North). Follow A14 in the direction of Felixstowe and Harwich for many a mile.
**Ignore all signs to Ipswich until A137, Ipswich central. Leave A14 here, and at the top of the slip road turn left and follow Ipswich A137.
§§ Road goes downhill parallel to the artificial ski slope on the right. At roundabout at the bottom of the hill go straight over to Ipswich Town Centre. Go along Wherstead Road. At 2nd roundabout take Left towards Town Centre (Vernon Street) which turns into Bridge Street and then crosses the river shortly after a set of traffic lights. Straight over first roundabout immediately by the docks and first exit (Novotel roundabout) onto Grey Friars. (At next roundabout take the second (half right) exit onto dual carriage way (Civic Drive).
•• Over one roundabout (Wolsey Theatre on the other side of the dual carriage way) and on to another roundabout. Take the right exit towards Town Centre.
Through lights, past Crown Pools (left), bus station (right), the Cricketers Pub (left), Charles Street (left) and FONNEREAU ROAD is the next on your left with a purple painted shop on the corner.
THE QUAKER MEETING HOUSE is several hundred yards up on the left.
From the South or West
Follow the A12 from the London orbital past Chelmsford and Colchester. At Ipswich follow signs towards Felixstowe on the A14/A12. Join the A14/A12 dual carriageway, but stay in left hand lane to leave at the next exit. Now follow instructions from ** above.
From North East Suffolk
South on the A12, past the turn off to Ipswich, and join the A14/A12 in the direction of Bury St. Edmunds. Leave this road immediately after the Orwell Bridge (signed to Ipswich Central, A137.) Turn right at the roundabout at the top of the slip road towards Ipswich, and straight on at the next roundabout (75 yards further on.)
Now follow instruction from §§ above.
By car or taxi from Ipswich/Ipswich Station
At the station exit go straight across the traffic lights onto Princes Street. Continue until the roundabout on Civic Drive (a little past Riley’s Pool Hall on the right). Turn left onto the dual carriage way and follow directions from ••
Plane
Stansted Airport is the closest. Other London airports are also reasonably convenient.
By car from Stansted: take A120 towards Colchester. Join A12 at Marks Tey. Now follow instructions above ‘from South or West’.
